Inspired by The Three Graces, we created a natural female body line in the form of ceramic vases and cups. Just like our bodies, this work all looks different depending on which angle we look at it from. In particular, the flow of the curved surfaces and the three-dimensional effect are good. Body Vase 01 expresses the belly fat and hip flexion of a sitting woman in a beautiful and natural form.
Loam Archive is a ceramic studio run by Lee Jihye, who works in Seoul, Korea. All works are produced by artists.
[ How to Handle and Care ]
· As each piece is 100% handmade, subtle variations in form and thickness may occur. Rather than being mechanically identical, each piece reflects the organic irregularities of handcraft. Traces of glaze flow or pooling, tonal variations, small surface textures, pinholes from escaping air, firing marks on the base, and small black or brown specks caused by naturally occurring iron in the clay or glaze may be present.
· Even for the same product, slight variations in color tones may occur due to environmental factors such as kiln temperature and humidity during production.
· The small hole in the handle releases pressure during firing to prevent cracks or deformation. A small amount of water may enter through this hole, so avoid soaking the cup and dry it thoroughly after washing.
· For matte ceramics, we recommend using a soft sponge or wooden utensils.
· This is a durable and safe ceramic item, fired at 1250°C, and is non-toxic.
· While microwave and dishwasher use is possible, we do not recommend it due to potential damage. Oven use is not allowed.
· Due to the nature of ceramic materials, they may be sensitive to rapid temperature changes. Even items that are microwave- or dishwasher-safe can be at risk of damage from sudden temperature shifts, so please handle with care when transitioning from cold to hot environments.
